There seems to be a movement in amongst the people of Oceania or more commonly known and Polynesians.  Currently, at the College of San Mateo and Community College of San Mateo, there are academic Certificates, and soon an Associates Degree path, in Oceania Studies.  I mention this because I took one of these classes and that's where I first heard the term Eurocentrism.  In this class, I first learned about decentalization especially in the form of mapping.  See, Polynesians are well known for using their oacean as their road ways so once Europeans mapped out the oceans and put up

Foundresses Week

I was already interested in checking out some of the events happening during foundresses week, however, given the additional reading and the opportunity to not have class, I became even more interested.  I planned to attend the meet the Sister's luncheon in St Josephs, but I had the wrong dates; I was a whole week off.  Anyways, I went to see if I could at least meet a sister because I could not stay for the lunch.

I got there 5 minutes left before the event began and the sisters were all engaged in conversation with other people so I left.  On my way out a very sweet smiling woman was walking towards me.  I asked if she was a sister and she said yes and that her name was Sister Yvonne.  We talked for about 10 minutes before she had to leave for the lunch, however, I think she would have chatted with me longer if she could.

I really gained a wonderful perspective of the sisters, or of sisters in general.  I am not Catholic so my
